Yes, all lives DO matter, but black lives are the ones that need protecting right now. Wishing it to be better isn't cutting it. Staying silent is not acceptable. Please join us in LISTENING to people of color, SUPPORTING people of color and SPEAKING OUT for people of color.

A few action steps to get you started:
-Find a new podcast, poet, writer, etc to listen to POC. Here are some suggestions:
+Podcasts: Black History Buff, The Nod, The Stoop, Code Switch, Identity Politics
+Writers: Octavia Butler, Toni Morrison, Audre Lorde, Zora Neale Hurston, Langston Hughes, August Wilson, Alice Walker

-Donate if you have the means:
+Black Lives Matter has chapters all over the place, check your city
+Bail Funds for protestors exist all over the place, too.

Coronavirus Updates

We opened in 2014 with the intention of creating a safe, comfortable environment for the downtown community to move, relieve stress and find a deeper connection. We are still committed to that goal, and are trying to navigate the best way to do that during this strange and stressful time.

We are still offering 1:1 and small group private classes, massage, Reiki and sound healing sessions. Online private yoga and Reiki are also available. We are here to answer any questions via call or text, 720.446.6324.

All of our teachers are full-time service or gig economy workers, and we all really appreciate your support as we find our way through this new and challenging time. We're here for you, too. Reach out if you need anything that we might be able to help with.

Restorative Bedtime Class

Get cozy in your own bed and we will meet online to get relaxed and sleepy. Restorative Yoga is a very gentle style of yoga that facilitates mild stretching and deep relaxation, to create a deeply relaxing environment for healing and meditation. And when we're done, you're already in bed - just close your computer and drift off to sleep!

June 25 at 8:30 pm

Free for members, $8 for non-members

Private sessions also available. Text or call 720.446.6324.

Yoga High strives to bring all the benefits of yoga to the downtown Denver community.  We have classes to fit your busy schedule, including lunchtime classes and after work classes. We offer weekend classes as well, and private sessions for newbies, injuries and those who want to dive deeper into their practice.

Our Mission
Yoga High is a studio that brings science and tradition together. Our mission is to provide a safe, friendly and light-hearted atmosphere for anyone in the downtown area.  We want to make yoga (and all its many benefits) accessible to everyone.  Through smaller class sizes, experienced and passionate teachers and proximity to your office or home, we aim to help you stretch and strengthen your body, calm your mind, find a little inspiration for the rest of your day and connect to your community.

Our Name
After a challenging yoga class, there's a thing called the "yoga high".  The endorphins are flowing, your body has stretched and worked and then found a few minutes of rest, and you are left feeling a little high.  We also strive to bring you a higher state of mind - a chance to let go of the stress and the to-do list, to rise above it all and connect with the part of you that is inspired and calm and sees the larger picture.  We also started out on the 17th floor, high up with a beautiful view (though we love our current quiet, cozy space below the hustle and bustle).

Guide for New Students
We are located at 800 18th Street on the lowest level (basement). We are in the historic Ghost Building, right across 18th Street from the 10th Circuit Courthouse and right across Stout Street from the Denver City Center, directly on the Light Rail Line. The doors the building are open 15 minutes before class, use the right door and push the handle down before you pull open, the door sticks, and you can take the elevators or stairs down, then hook a right for the lockers and cubbies, go straight for the bathrooms, and hook a left for the massage room and the studio.

We ask that you remove your shoes before entering the studio. You can leave them in the hallway, in the cubbies or in the lockers. If your class isn't packed, or if you have valuables in your bag, you are welcome to bring your bag/belongings into the studio with you. Our teachers usually arrive 10-15 minutes before class starts, so if you arrive very early, you might need to wait for your teacher or for the previous class to end.

We encourage everyone to listen to their own bodies. We encourage you to challenge yourself without pushing into injury or compulsion. We take time to find Please call or text us if you have any questions at all! 720.446.6324
